Know All About Every Toy Drive and Toys for Tots in Milwaukee

The holiday season brings gifts, flavors, lights, and so much more. However, one of the best ways to enjoy Christmastime is to give to those in need, especially when it comes to children. By purchasing an unwrapped toy or crossing items off a predetermined list (made by the child themselves!), you can give the wonder of Christmas to a little one who may otherwise go without. If you’re inspired to make a child’s holiday season, here are five organizations like Toys for Tots in Milwaukee to consider for your gift-giving.

Of course, there’s no better place to start than the most well-known of all organizations, Toys for Tots. In Milwaukee, there are several places to drop off new, unwrapped toys to help the Marines accomplish their goal of helping underprivileged kids. If you don’t have the time or ability to go out and shop, you can also give a monetary donation through their site. Toys for Tots helps thousands of children in the Milwaukee area have a happy holiday season. Support their efforts if you can!

Children’s Wisconsin Foundation

The primary purpose of the Children’s Wisconsin Foundation’s toy drive is to encourage and provide comfort to hospitalized kids. Not only can you donate toys around Christmastime, but they have a wishlist of items they need year-round. All items must be new for the safety of the children, and you can select items from their Amazon and Walmart checklists for this toy drive in Milwaukee.

United Way of Greater Milwaukee’s Holiday Giving Tree

Similar to Toys for Tots, the goal of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee’s Holiday Giving Tree is to share with those who may do without otherwise. So, instead of purchasing gifts, the United Way offers the opportunity for folks to give a monetary donation. These monies are used towards filling the wishes of local families and individuals throughout the holiday season. The suggested donation is $30, although giving more or less will help them reach their goals.

The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County

Last year over 44,000 toys were delivered to over 2500 children throughout Milwaukee via The Salvation Army’s Toy Shop. Parents can select gifts from donations based on the needs and age of their children. Toys for Tots in Milwaukee also partners to help make this event a success so that lots of kids will have a surprise on Christmas morning.

Capuchin Community Services

The toy drive in Milwaukee organized by Capuchin Community Services helps over 1000 households find joy on Christmas morning. Parents can shop for their kids in a store-like environment, which gives parents a sense of pride and excitement to select presents. They ask that gifts be unwrapped and placed in gift bags so that parents can see and easily choose gifts. Capuchin’s goal is to help children aged birth through 10 receive three presents on Christmas Day. Select toys from their online registries at Amazon and Target, or view their list for suggestions.
