Q: What does the Exposition Center’s GBAC STAR accreditation mean?

A: Following the onset of the global pandemic, the Milwaukee State Fair Park has achieved the Global Biorisk Advisory Council ® (GBAC) STAR™. Under the guidance of GBAC, the Milwaukee State Fair Park has implemented international best practices for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention. The venue now joins an exclusive group of leaders who have implemented the most rigorous regulations for preparing for, responding to, and recovering from future outbreaks and pandemics.

Q: What safety policies do attendees have to follow?

A: Attendees have a shared responsibility in event safety. Entry is not permitted to any attendee showing COVID-19 symptoms, including a fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat and/or runny nose.
Attendees must self-certify that they do not have symptoms and have not been diagnosed with or had contact with a known or suspected COVID-19 case in the past 14 days.
Masking is not mandatory; however, we strongly encourage all attendees to wear masks, wash or sanitize their hands upon entry, throughout the event, and upon exit.
Your health and safety is our top priority, violation of any policy will result in removal from the event.

Noel Indoor Light Park & Christmas Market is complying with local health authorities, policies are subjected to change based on the current situation. 

Q: What safety policies do staff, volunteers, and vendors have to follow?

A: Staff, volunteers and vendors have a shared responsibility in event safety. Entry is not permitted to anyone showing COVID-19 symptoms, including a fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throat and/or runny nose.

Q: Are masks required at the event?

A: No.

Q: How is Noël Christmas enforcing physical distancing?

A: Though physical distancing won’t be enforced we do have timeslots for our tickets that guests are encouraged to follow. These timeslots help us create a good flow and minimize the potential of areas becoming too crowded.

Q: What is the facility capacity?

A: We are following all of the capacity restrictions placed by the city. At this time, we will be able to operate at 100% capacity.

Q: What is being done to help prevent the spread of Covid-19?

A: Together with the State Fair Park, Noel Christmas is implementing rigorous cleaning and sanitization protocol and working with our guests to ensure they understand their responsibilities as a guest at Noel.

Q: What are my responsibilities as a guest at Noel Christmas?

A: We encourage our guests to wear face masks at all times within the festival, practice patience creating safe physical space between cohorts, practice good hand hygiene, and stay home if you are sick or feel unwell. If you are required to stay home, our ticket team will work with you to move your tickets to an alternate date.

Q: What cleaning and disinfecting methods is Noël Christmas implementing?

A: Hand washing and hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the venue. Attendees are encouraged to use hand sanitizer or wash their hands upon entry and exit of the venue, exit of bathrooms, and after consuming food.
Our staff is intensifying the cleaning and disinfecting all tables, chairs, and facility equipment. All equipment touched or used by an attendee is cleaned and disinfected before another attendee can use it.
Washrooms are cleaned and disinfected frequently.

Q: How is Noël Christmas monitoring food consumption areas at the event?

A: No outside food or drinks are allowed. We have seating areas to enjoy food and drinks but they can be carried throughout the event too.

Q: What happens if an attendee or staff member develops COVID-19 symptoms at the event?

A: Any person who develops symptoms at the event is required to leave immediately. A response plan by way of on-site First Aid attendants is in place in the event that any attendee, staff, volunteer, vendor, or performer develops COVID-19 symptoms at the event.

Q: How is Noël Christmas communicating the safety plan at the event?

A: To communicate our safety plan at the event, clear and concise signage has been utilized throughout the venue.
Signage messaging includes:
Hand washing reminders,
Avoid touching items before purchase, and
Remind attendees not to gather.
